A custom frame is designed around what it needs to contain and the space where it will be displayed.

Every project may require different materials, proportions, colours, mats, glazing and mounting solutions. In our workshop, these elements are considered together to create a frame that enhances the artwork while fitting naturally into its surroundings.

A Creative Workshop

Our workshop is a place where ideas take shape.

Visiting us means being able to explore and compare hundreds of frame styles, materials, colours and creative solutions, finding the combination that best suits each project.

From clean, contemporary designs to more elaborate compositions, every element can be adapted to the artwork and the space around it.

Our approach often goes beyond simply choosing a frame. We look at the artwork, but also at the wall, the interior, the furniture and the overall atmosphere we want to create.

In this sense, designing a frame can have much in common with interior design: proportions, materials, colours and volumes need to work together and become part of the space.

Mounting as Part of the Design

The way an artwork is mounted can completely change the final result.

We develop both traditional and contemporary solutions to create space, depth and visual separation, including floating mounts, spacers, overlays and special fixing systems.

Mounting is not simply a technical step. It is an integral part of the design.

The right solution depends on the artwork, its materials, conservation requirements and, above all, the visual effect we want to achieve.

Custom Mats and Special Cutouts

A mat can be much more than a simple rectangular opening.

Using our Valiani cutting plotter, we can design and create special cuts, shapes, openings and compositions that would be difficult to achieve with traditional techniques.

Geometric shapes, multiple openings, overlays and customised details allow the mat itself to become part of the design.

Technology becomes a tool for creativity, extending what can be achieved through traditional craftsmanship.

Multi-Opening Frames and Compositions

When a project includes several elements, we can create multi-opening frames, carefully planning proportions, spacing and alignment so that photographs, prints, documents, objects or smaller pieces work together within a single frame.

Each opening can be designed in relation to the others, creating compositions that are clean and contemporary or more elaborate and expressive.

There is no standard solution: the composition is developed around what needs to be displayed.

Gallery Walls

When several artworks need to be displayed together, the project can extend from the individual frame to the entire wall.

With Gallery Wall projects, we study the arrangement of the artworks, frame sizes, spacing and the overall balance of the composition.

The wall becomes a single visual project, designed to work with both the artworks and the surrounding interior.

Digital tools also allow us to explore different arrangements before production, helping to identify the most suitable solution.

Frames Made in Our Workshop

Alongside our selection of frame profiles, we create and assemble many customised solutions in our own workshop.

Working directly in the laboratory allows us to intervene on dimensions, finishes, material combinations and construction details, including projects that fall outside standard sizes or conventional solutions.

This is where craftsmanship, precision and creativity come together.

Craftsmanship and Technology

Our approach is rooted in the tradition of the workshop, while embracing the possibilities offered by contemporary design and technology.

Handcraft remains fundamental: cutting, assembling, finishing and mounting all require experience and attention to detail.

At the same time, tools such as the Valiani plotter, design software and new technologies allow us to experiment with solutions that would once have been difficult or impossible to create.

Technology does not replace craftsmanship. It expands its possibilities.
